blue sticker with wobbly face reads: unlearn underestimating yourself

What to expect

Gutsy founder Susannah, headphones round her neck, sat in the park, smiling, thinking about helping people with shyness and social anxiety through workshops in London

I share short reflective essays – called Props – that begin with a single object and follow where it leads — into memory, creativity, honesty, identity. It’s a practice in self-expression.

For my fellow writers, artists and creatives, I also sometimes include a behind-the-scenes note on the writing itself: the hesitations, nerves and small acts of courage in writing and sharing my inner world.

Occasionally I share pieces on introversion, shyness and self-acceptance, notes from experiments in gathering and connection, and prompts and practices to try. Plus news of workshops and courses when they’re coming up.

No daily noise. No pressure. No pep talks that make you feel worse. Just honest, unhurried writing about the complicated business of expressing yourself.

What Get Gutsy readers say:

🤖 “Totally real – not a marketing robot!”

🔔 “Your emails always resonate SO much with me.”

👀 “I'm excited that there’s someone out there that can help me with speaking, that isn’t a w*nker.”
